If you were insured under the The Hartford policy on the day immediately prior to your effective date with Dearborn National, you may be covered even if you do not satisfy the actively at work requirement provided you would otherwise have been eligible to become insured under the Dearborn National Life plan. Please contact our customer service department to get answers specific to your disability.
 
If you are not actively at work on September 1, 2009 due to a disability, your LTD claim should be filed with The Hartford. Please contact your institution Benefits Office to cancel your LTD coverage with Dearborn National. You may re-enroll for LTD benefits with FDL within 31 days of your return to work. No EOI will be required.
