Fort Dearborn Life® Introduces Travel Resource Services
(CHICAGO) – February 9, 2009 – Fort Dearborn Life is pleased to introduce Travel Resource Services, a program of emergency travel services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, available to group life insureds traveling more than 100 miles from home.
“We want to be sure that our insureds and their families can obtain the care and services they need should a crisis arise,” said Tony Trani, president and CEO of Fort Dearborn Life. “Finding appropriate physicians, dentists and medical facilities – these needs are invaluable when someone is ill and far from home.”
Available to all new group life clients of Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company (FDL) and Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company of New York (FDLNY) with 10 or more insured employees, the program provides a wide range of services, including the location of a medical professional; medical evacuation; emergency travel arrangements for the insured, travel companion and dependent children; return of mortal remains; replacement of medication and eyeglasses; emergency cash advances, location of lost or stolen items; location of an attorney and bail advances; interpretation and translation; and pre-trip information regarding culture, weather conditions and foreign exchange rates.
Travel Resource Services complements Fort Dearborn Life’s other programs designed to assist employees in times of need, including Beneficiary Resource Services and Disability Resource Services.1
