Craig Nordyke
Divisional Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
As Divisional Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Craig Nordyke guides Dearborn National’s administration, underwriting, product and actuarial areas. Mr. Nordyke also has oversight responsibility for Dearborn National’s Worksite and Individual business segment. Mr. Nordyke previously held the position of Vice President and Chief Actuary.
Mr. Nordyke joined Dearborn National in 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry and has spent more than 20 years in actuarial management and operations. Before joining Dearborn National, he served as Vice President and Actuary at TIAA-CREF in North Carolina. Prior to TIAA-CREF, Mr. Nordyke was Vice President and Senior Actuary at MetLife and Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary at Paragon Life.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nordyke has been extensively involved in insurance company management and all life insurance actuarial functions, including product development and pricing, statutory and GAAP valuation, asset adequacy testing, and in-force product support.
Mr. Nordyke received a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from Drake University in Iowa. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
