Social Security Disability

When is it necessary for me to apply for Social Security Disability?
If disability extends or is expected to extend beyond five months, you are required to apply immediately for Social Security Disability under the terms of the Disability Plan and appeal through the Administrative Law Judge Level. This is a separate and distinct benefit from Long-term Disability. If you are receiving an Long-term Disability benefit and qualify for Social Security Disability, your Long-term Disability benefit amount may be reduced.
